Project: Class leadership invited classmates to host parties in their homes across the country for other classmates in their area. Class leadership then helped coordinate 9 get-togethers, one of which was a museum tour. Project: Regional Club (the Yale Alumni Association of the Northwest – YAANW) enhances its long running speaker series on environmental sustainability by partnering with the local engineering school (the College of Engineering at the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN). The University of St.Thomas (UST) provided the venue and underwriting, and created synergies for driving attendance. Project: A Yale Club in Shenzhen, China, annually arranges a day-trip for visiting Yale students along with local Chinese students, to leading Chinese companies. All the students are part of a regular exchange program between Yale and Lingnan (University) College in China, organized in part by Yale-China. Event: A regional Yale Club and the Yale Class of 1988 collaborated to stage an special evening event: A visit to an exhibit of art work by an internationally recognized Yale graduate, with a talk by the artist, at a premier art museum in Washington, DC (June 2009).
